ABOUT ME – DONNA HAWKINS
Hi there! I’m Donna Hawkins, a lifetime devotee to the world of hospitality.
My story began in the late 1980s when I was literally born into this industry, with my parents owning a collection of hotels and motels across Western Australia.
You could say my journey started early, helping out as a child, then officially landing my first job at the tender age of 12, cleaning our family’s hotel. My hospitality adventures carried on with waitressing at 15, bartending at 18, and by the time I was 23, I was the proud owner of my very own hotel!
Fast forward to today, I can proudly claim to have dedicated nearly 36 years of my life to this industry, with 24 of those years immersed in hands-on work (that’s two-thirds of my life!). It’s not just a career for me – it’s a part of who I am. Over the years, I’ve developed a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience that few others in the hospitality business can match.
The journey didn’t stop there! In 2016, I decided to add a new chapter to my hospitality saga by purchasing a 29-room motel in the beautiful tourist hotspot, Margaret River. And let me tell you – I am smitten! It’s not just a place where I run a thriving business. It’s a region that I’ve fallen head over heels for and have made it my mission to share its charm with as many people as possible. Oh, and did I mention? During this period, I also became a mother to five wonderful children!
I am deeply passionate about the potential of every property owner to excel in their craft, providing authentic advice on website building, SEO, social media management, and email marketing. I believe in the power of well-managed hospitality to enrich the lives of both guests and owners.
With my boots firmly planted on Margaret River ground, I am on a mission to make visits to this gem of a place as wonderful as it can be. And while juggling operations, a website, and a family of five might sound overwhelming to some, for me, it’s a dream come true. I believe in this place, in the magic of hospitality, and most importantly, in sharing the love!

Note on Membership Duration and Renewal:
Your membership will run for a calendar year, starting from January 1st and ending on December 31st. If you join mid-year, you will be invoiced on a pro-rata basis for the remainder of the current calendar year.
Annual Invoicing:
Invoices for the upcoming calendar year will be issued at the start of December. Please ensure timely payment to continue enjoying the benefits of your membership.
Cancellation and Refunds:
Due to the nature of content planning and other logistical commitments, we are unable to issue refunds mid-year. If you wish to discontinue your membership, please make sure to notify me before the invoicing period in December.
